“THIS IS ME!” A CHILD’S RIGHT TO PLAY

Whether you love watching children at play or value the importance of play in children’s lives – or both – the International Play Association (IPA) invites you to enjoy IPA’s video on [the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child] Article 31 and the Child’s Right to Play. We will have this translated into 15 languages and will be adding the different versions slowly over the next several months. Currently, the video is available subtitled in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Spanish and Welsh. Coming soon: Russian, Hebrew, Portuguese, Japanese, Dutch, Turkish, Italian and Swedish.”

CREATE YOUR OWN SOUNDS OF SUMMER WITH THESE BEAUTIFUL BEADED WIND CHIMES

Beaded wind chimes are such a beautiful decoration for your porch, patio, or gazebo. They’re perfect for placing in the garden and make a lovely gift. I love the soft clinking sound of the beads brushing against each other and the subtle chime of the bells when the strands move back and forth.

You can make a rainbow colored wind chime like we did, or you can place the beads in a random order on each strand. That’s what’s so great about homemade wind chimes. There’s no wrong way to make them – it’s such a simple, yet creative, craft!

EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILD CARE PROVIDERS

There will be no Zoom or In-Person classes offered through CCRS during the month of July.  However, providers will still able to access continuing education opportunities via these sources:

An Introduction to the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is now on i-learning!

This training was made specifically for family and group home day care providers. The CACFP is an important program that helps ensure children are eating nutritious foods and developing habits to support lifelong nutrition, while providing cash reimbursement for you, the provider! This training consists of three modules and can be found on the i-learning website:
